The Gentleman’s Daughter: Women’s Lives in Georgian England - Amanda Vickery
by Zia ~ July 11th, 2005. Filed under: Books.I read this well over a year ago, but I’m deep into the spinsters book (mentioned previously) and it’s fab. The Gentleman’s Daughter is its twin. Vickery studies the lives of Georgian women through letters, diaries, and account books–and it makes for fascinating reading.
If you must read only one book on the era, read this one.
