Nifty Hotel
by Zia ~ August 9th, 2005. Filed under: Travel.The Nye Beach hotel has a movie theme, with movie posters covering every inch of wall, and the main room lets out onto a deck right over the beach. It’s not expensively furnished, but that doesn’t detract from the atmosphere at all, which remains pleasantly bohemian.
We didn’t mean to stay at the very same hotel from four years ago. In fact, on this trip, we popped our heads into the literary-themed hotel two doors down. (I can’t remember what it’s called.) Every room features a different author; there’s the Agatha Christy room, and the Edgar Allen Poe. Thought it would be fun. Every room was booked, however, and that’s how we ended up here again. And with free wireless, who’s complaining? I was starting to feel shaky, I hadn’t checked e-mail in so long.
Well, Steve’s glaring at me from across the table that says “Cerveza Pacifico.” It’s time to surf.
