    Hi, I was cruising around on the internet looking up and author to see if she had written any other books and came upon your comment on The Rising of the Lark, It was a reread for me, too, It was my fav when I was 14 or so. You were dead on with your comments ( at least they echoed my thoughts too, the tutor thing on re-read was a little skeevy and I would have been quite happy if the characters would have commented on the inappropriate ness of the development of their relationship, but like you said, it was another time.. Still, I did like it and to some degree, it was truly inspired writing and it still strikes a bit of a chord with me. Thats all. Oh, she doesn’t seem to have written much more.

    Hi Tanya,

    It’s so nice to “meet” someone who loved The Rising of the lark when she was a teenager and now thinks the whole tutor thing was weird. I guess we as readers are definitely the product of a completely different time though, and that when it was written, it wasn’t nearly so skeevy.

    For years, I looked for something else she had written, but I think the only thing was a book of the Welsh myths …
