So this is the thing. There’s froth and then there’s literary fiction. Sometimes you’ll have literary froth, and sometimes you’ll have frothy literature. Unfortunately, sometimes you have a book that purports to be literary, but the writer simply doesn’t have the ability to carry it off. And that, my friends, is Stone Heart in a nutshell.
