What Kind of Cat?

by Zia ~ March 13th, 2006. Filed under: Travel.

Yesterday, we went slightly east to the Cedar River, where there was a kayaking tournament Steve wanted to watch. We hiked around a bit, and then explored some of the other rivers and trails. It was a good day — and for me the highlight was seeing a large wild cat posed on a hillside above I-90. Unfortunately, Steve missed him. At first I thought it was a bobcat — the right coloring — but it seemed to me he was a lot larger than a bobcat. Anyone know what other kinds of wild cats roam the wilderness areas around 90?

Not sure about your cat, but this man of yours, he surfs and he sails and he kayaks. But does he renovate? We hear talk of contractors with freebie windows, but we want shots of Steve pulling up the bathroom floor, laying new pipes etc. The world is waiting.

I’m hoping you have a second bathroom for the years that pass while renovations proceed.

Tom, you’ve hit the nail on the head. We’re like the cobbler’s children, because while Steve KNOWS how to do all this stuff, the last thing he wants to do at night is deal with more construction stuff (it’s what he does for a living). As for me, I firmly believe that to be a truly liberated woman, one must be fine with the fact that there are certain things one doesn’t want to be liberated about — and house renovation (along with car repairs) falls firmly into that category. So between the two of us, we don’t get that much done!

No second bathroom. This should be interesting. :-)
