Reed Futrell works as an engineer for a plant that deals with uranium and other not-so-nice materials. Even though his father died in a mysterious accident at the plant, he doesn’t think about the effects on him, preferring an easygoing sort of life in which he camps with his dog, enjoys his on-again, off-again relationship with Julia, and takes pride in the fidgety engineering work he does. But Julia is terrified for him, and when deformed frogs are found at the site, Reed needs to acknowledge that the plant does not, in fact, always take care of its own. Recommend.
