Alas, that doesn't mean it was any good. Your husband's assessment is right on. The only good thing about the movie is Jeremy Irons. Everything else was pretty awful. Every year we go to a movie for new year's eve on "ultra screen" and thought this would be the one, even though my husband wasn't particularly thrilled with the book (as he put it, it's like a person with a fifteen-year-old's understanding of character and story wrote the book...oh, he was fifteen?
