Wow…I second everyone who’s been saying “what a story”! And sure, Sheldon’s popular fiction, but wow, did his books open a whole new world when I snuck them past my mom in my early teenie years.

What a fabulous story about meeting an author. I lived in the same apartment block as Hilary Mantel for a few years, but never actually met her because she was very shy. I used to say hello to her husband, though. He was white-haired, roundish and friendly.

What an amazing story! I was sad to see that Sidney Sheldon had died. I’ve not read much by him, in fact for years I thought he was female, but I have a few funny memories about his books - nowhere near as interesting as yours, though. Thank you for sharing this.
