I purchased a murakami at a small household auction, I was wondering if you had any insight as to where I could get an appraisal over the internet. Any information you may have would be fantastic. Thank you.
Hi Chad, getting appraisals for Japanese prints is not usually worth the cost of having it done. Your best bet is to do what you’re doing and scouring the internet for prices. Artelino.com is a great resource for that, though I don’t know how many Murakami Gyojin prints they have up there. Would LOVE to see a photo or scan of the print you got–I personally haven’t seen that many prints of his. (see the contact page for my email)
